Q.1. What sets Shakti Hormann apart as India’s leading company providing doors solutions for industrial, commercial and residential applications?
We introduced Hollow metal fire doors to India in 1994 and created a market for high quality maintenance free factory finished steel doors. We have established the industry benchmarks in quality, design, certifications and service. Since then we have catered to the Industrial, Commercial and Residential markets by introducing products and innovative solutions of International quality and German technology. As part of the Hormann group the product range has increased manifold and with 27 factories across the globe, we offer “Door solutions for any wall Opening “
Q.2. Brief us about your latest developments in this sector.What are the new technologies are you adopting in near future?
We have introduced the latest range of Industrial doors namely High speed doors, Sectional doors, Rolling Shutters with Direct drive , Fire rated rolling shutters, Dock levelers and shelters with state of the art motors and controllers from our own factories in Germany. In addition our latest range of Commercial Fire rated Glazed doors with Certifire (Warrington Exova, UK) label has taken the market by storm.Hormann today is recognized worldwide for the new technologies it introduces every year keeping in view the changing needs and requirements of its end clients. The future products will leverage the Internet, Cloud, IOT, Mobile apps to provide an altogether new experience to customers in the area of pricing, purchase, servicing, installation and after sales service.
Q.3. Are you planning to expand your network? Tell us your expansion plans in 2017-18?
We have 9 branches across India with service support available locally. We will increase our footprint across India through by way of addition of 3 more branches in areas where we currently are not represented. More over the rapid expansion of our channel partners will ensure a Hormann partner is available in the remotest areas of India to provide product and service at the customer’s doorstep.
Q.4.Do you think clients expectations have changed over time? Is there any new initiative to keep a strong consumer connect?
Today clients are more aware of the technical aspects of products and the expectations in the area of functionality and service has definitely risen. This is a healthy sign as it ensures that company’s such as ours constantly invests time and efforts in improving the quality in both areas. Hence Hormann is investing in a strong back end to address customer’s complaints and queries as well as internet based platforms to provide information in real time basis on product, and product delivery status.
Q.5.What is the roadmap or a blue print for Shakti Hormann growth?
Over the years, we at Hörmann, have learnt to transcend our limitations, and convert challenges and constraints into business opportunities. With a diversified portfolio of superior quality doors for home and industry, we have been constantly innovating to cater to newer markets, and reach out to elite clientele looking for high quality, durable products. As a leading global brand, we have delivered more than 18 million doors across 30 countries. Indian market throws up unique challenges due to its sheer scale, diversity and environmental conditions. Still, we have been touching exciting breakthroughs in all our product categories, be it the highly durable industrial doors or robust commercial doors or elegant residential doors. Our ascent to the top of the ladder in India is the result of our deep understanding, focused initiatives and adherence to Hörmann standards of performance and quality across the board.

We believe that Trade forums such as yours provide a key role in bringing prospective customers to observe first-hand the latest and leading technologies on a common platform. Such interactions help us understand what customers’ changing needs are and what products would cater to such new requirements.
